I just want to give a big thanks to all the men and women that serve in the armed forces. (That's you too Aaron!) I also want to personally thank our friends who are deployed and away from their family to protect our freedoms!
So, thanks to Rick Vermillion, Bart Gatrell, Will Hill & Paul Klimo!! Thanks guys!
Have a great Monday!!

The beginning of the end...
For me, Friday night marked the beginning of the end. The end of our life in Dayton. We sure will miss it here. I bought a new dress, I spent days looking for the right shoes (I didn't find what I wanted, but I found some awesome shoes!) I got my hair done (thanks Lisa!), I got my nails done (the first time since we got married!) and we didn't come home until after midnight! It's been a long time since we have done that. In fact, I don't think we ever have.
We attended the Air Force graduation dinner. This is where they honor the graduating 3rd year residents and the other staff that are leaving this summer. We had a blast!! Since we are so trusting of our babysitter, we decided to go to the after party at Therapy! (A local bar/dance place). We watched a few of the attendings get trashed and do some funny things. Aaron even got slapped on the behind on the dance floor! So funny! We had so much fun, but didn't get enough sleep. We didn't get to bed until after 1 and the kids were in our room at 7:01 am. Good morning?
Enjoy these pictures before we left. There will be more pictures and posts soon. There has been a lot happen in the last 2 weeks, so stay tuned!!

Need addresses!!
As a direct result of our hard drive crashing, we are in need of addresses. We need everyone's. No one is exempt from this call. If you don't e-mail me your address, you won't get Christmas cards, an address change form (which is soon to come!) or birthday (and other occasions) cards. Please send an e-mail to askjnm@gmail.com and include your address and phone number.
**We are baking up our hard drive now, so this should be the last time I need your address, unless you move!!

Bring It On!!!
Today marks a very special day in our house. It is the beginning of the last week of Aaron's off. That's right folks! Aaron has from today through next Wednesday off. What are we going to do you might ask? We are going to take a quick trip to Niagara Falls and Palmyra (and I do mean quick)! We are going to pack. We are (hopefully) going to sleep in. We are going to pack pack pack! We are going to go to a fancy dinner (I am even having my hair done)! I might be MIA for a few days, but don't be worried my friends, I will be okay!!!

Please Help!
This is for those of you with older kids (or remember your discipline from your childhood.) We need some help. The kids have started being dishonest and we don't know what to think or do. Here are yesterdays 2 events:
#1 - One child needs to have his homework signed off every day with the amount of time it took to complete listed. We have done this since the beginning of the school year. This child signed my initials and put the time that we usually put and then put it away in the backpack. (Ilene, are you dieing of laughter yet? Aaron did this for a bout 4 months in 3rd grade. Aaron had a really hard time keeping a straight face while telling him it's bad.)
#2 - Both boys aren't allowed anything but water and meals for the month of May (a previous punishment). One of them saw a Diet Coke that was left on the floor (it was 3/4 full). He picked up the Diet Coke and drank it then went to throw it away. Bad mistake! I was in the kitchen. He says, "Mom, this is empty, I am throwing it away." I asked if he drank it several times and he said no. The final time, I looked in the living room and saw that the other boys were upstairs and said, "I am going to ask one last time, did you drink it?" Then, he lowered his head and in just a whisper said yes. ARG!! He totally knew it was wrong, but did it anyway.
Any suggestions??

Kennie's 6th Birthday!
Kennie's birthday was on a Friday this year and his school was doing a night at the Dayton Dragons (a minor league baseball team.) Kennie really wanted to go. So, I got 5 tickets and planned on leaving Maggie home. I decided the day before that I really didn't want to take Nate with me, so I left him with the babysitter and asked Kennie who he wanted to go with him. He chose Hannah. For those of you who don't remember Hannah, you can go here. It's quite the funny story.
The best part of the night was when Hannah put the move on (and I caught it in pictures.) Remember that old school move where you would yawn and then put your arm around your date? Well, Hannah didn't yawn, but she should have. She lifted her elbow up onto her knee and sat there for a minute. Then stretched her arm out and put it on Kennie's shoulder. I thought I would die of laughter. I couldn't stop! No one would believe me if I didn't get it in pictures. Enjoy! What a good story!
He enjoyed his birthday this year. He got a Wii game, a Ben 10 watch (I don't like these older kid cartoons!!), a Ben 10 shirt, a Ben 10 action figure, a ball Frisbee, $6 and a digital camera. We are doing a small party for him soon. He is excited about that. He sure enjoys his friends here in Ohio and I am sure we will miss it more than we can even imagine right now!!
Happy Birthday Kennie. I LOVE YOU!!

Maggie is 11 months
How can you resist this face??
It's hard to believe that she is already 11 months. Here are 11 fun things about Maggie.
- She is getting better at walking. She loves to just take off. She also loves the praise when we clap and Kennie, Justin & Nate get so excited!
- She learned how to wave and will wave at Aaron when he is coming home from work. (Bye-bye is a different wave.)
- She is now sportin' 3 teeth (2 bottom and 1 top) and is working on the other top one.
- She is obsessed with the phone. She loves to put it up to hr ear and talk on it.
- She likes to dance when she hears music (It's so funny to watch!)
- She is wearing 12 month cloths and size 4 diaper.
- She likes to play in the bathroom. Her favorite toy there is the toilet brush. I think I might invest in those throw away scrubbers. It is so gross to see her with one.
- She loves to be put in her chair to eat, only she won't eat baby food. We are trying to figure out things that she will eat. She won't eat it if she can't pick it up with her fingers.
- Her new face is her toungue hanging out of her mouth. It's pretty funny.
- She is getting really good at the stairs. Still not so great about coming down, but we are working on that.
- I love that she loves to give me kisses!!
The 2 pictures attached to this post are courtesy of Jenny & Kayla (their babysitters for the adult session of conference.) They had a DQ blizzard and left some of it in the cup on the end table next to the couch. Maggie discovered it Sunday morning while I was reading the paper and Daddy was watching the Goofy movie. This is the results.

So So So funny
So, we went out with 4 other couples last night before the adult session of Stake Conference. Mexican is not my favorite, but it was pretty good for Mexican. We made it through the session without any of us falling asleep, so we rewarded ourselves with Grater's Ice Cream.
(This is the funny part.) We were eating ice cream and talking about the fun things to do in Ohio. One of the girls mentioned she wanted to get to see the Amish country out here.
Aaron: "I've seen it, but it's been about 10 years"
Rhett: "Well, it probably hasn't changed much."
Aaron: Somewhat snorts and can't stop laughing.
The rest of us follow his lead and we laugh for quite some time. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time! Thanks Rhett for the good laughs. Aaron and I were still laughing about it when we went to bed last night!

P.S. Pictures will come this week. I got the new digital camera yesterday and our computer is working great now. It sure has been an expensive week. Oh, and Nate busted one of the Wii games. Of course, it had to be a $50 one. I should keep a running total and show it to him when he is older.
To anonymous - just because I say I am frustrated with him, doesn't mean I don't love him. He is the cutest 2 year old I have had, but also the most expensive. I shouldn't have to replace my camera after only 4 months!
