1 step forward - 2 steps back!

I am sitting at the computer having some "me" time (playing games on Facebook) and listening to iTunes.  When, the song that takes me back to Dayton Ohio starts playing.  Once again, tears stream down my face.  In talking with my friends now, things are SO different there and I am glad I am here, but, I have a hole in my heart.  I just want you to know, if you are of my Ohio Peeps - I still miss you!  I can't help but listen one more time!

Sometimes I feel so weak!  And, for the record, the song that played after was Sobbin' Women from 7 Brides for 7 Brothers.  Ha!!

It's in the water....

Last night, Nate crawled up on my lap, looked up at me and said, "Mom, I wanna go home." I just hugged him and told him that I understood.

Today, I took Kennie and Justin to see the movie up. As we got out of the car and started walking up to the theater my conversation with Kennie went something like this:

Kennie - "Mom, I don't think I can walk anymore."
Me - "How come?"
Kennie - "My legs aren't working."
Me (kinda concerned) - "What's wrong, where does it hurt?"
Kennie - "Don't be silly mom, they don't hurt. I am just homesick. I want to go back to Ohio."
Me - "Oh, well, I am sorry, but that doesn't cause your legs to stop working." Funny!!

Anyway, is it possible for homesickness to be in the water? I think we all have it!!!
