So, we went out with 4 other couples last night before the adult session of Stake Conference. Mexican is not my favorite, but it was pretty good for Mexican. We made it through the session without any of us falling asleep, so we rewarded ourselves with Grater's Ice Cream.
(This is the funny part.) We were eating ice cream and talking about the fun things to do in Ohio. One of the girls mentioned she wanted to get to see the Amish country out here.
Aaron: "I've seen it, but it's been about 10 years"
Rhett: "Well, it probably hasn't changed much."
Aaron: Somewhat snorts and can't stop laughing.
The rest of us follow his lead and we laugh for quite some time. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time! Thanks Rhett for the good laughs. Aaron and I were still laughing about it when we went to bed last night!

Anonymous comments
Thanks to the RUDE anonymous comment, I have changed the setting so that you can not leave anonymous comments. Sorry to those who haven't abused this in the past. My next step is to approve all comments left on the blog. I hope it doesn't come to that!
Sassy
P.S. Pictures will come this week. I got the new digital camera yesterday and our computer is working great now. It sure has been an expensive week. Oh, and Nate busted one of the Wii games. Of course, it had to be a $50 one. I should keep a running total and show it to him when he is older.
To anonymous - just because I say I am frustrated with him, doesn't mean I don't love him. He is the cutest 2 year old I have had, but also the most expensive. I shouldn't have to replace my camera after only 4 months!

Rest In Peace
We have had to say goodbye to two very important pieces in our home this week.
#1 - Nate busted our digital camera. (Hence, no pictures this post) He is one expensive kid! I am SICK SICK SICK of him pushing buttons. He is obsessed which is why I thought he..
#2 - Crashed our hard drive - I was sure it was Nate's fault that our computer was broken. He is constantly pushing buttons and turning things off and on. I can't even count the number of times he has to put his nose in a corner because he is on the computer. We started locking our computer and turning the screen off. He figured out how to shut it down even though it was locked. (He would turn the monitor off and on.) He is VERY lucky that the Geek Squad reassured me that it wasn't Nate's fault. Thankfully, we have a warranty on the computer that is still active, so it won't cost us anything to get a new hard drive. We just have to wait for HP to send us the recovery discs (which we have to order) and take it into the Geek Squad. I have never been so thankful that we got the extended warranty.
Other News:
We are so blessed in our lives. Thank you for being a part of it!
(Thank you Johnny & Shelby for letting us use your camera and your laptop!!)

Other News:
- Kennie celebrated his 6th birthday on the 24th. Mom, Justin Hannah (the girl he still wants to marry) and Kennie all went to the Dayton Dragons game. (Pictures will follow when we have a computer we can upload them to!) A fun time was had by all. We missed you dad!!
- Maggie got her first 2 teeth. They popped through on the bottom on the 23rd. She has been extra cranky and slept more than normal the last few days. And OH that nose! Constant stream. Drives her mama crazy.
- Aaron worked a TON this week. He will work his last call as a resident on Monday (Mondays are his overnight calls.) How crappy that his last call has to be a 30 hour shift! He has a really cool attending so it's not as bad as it could be.
- We have discovered that Justin is allergic to cats. He went to play with a friend for a couple of hours, and came back with 1 eye swollen shut, 1 eye watering and swollen and his nose a steady stream. It took a couple of days for him to get over it (Even with Zyrtec!)
- Sassy is trying to get everything organized for the move in a few months. That keeps her pretty busy. Plus, with it being so warm, the kids have been playing in the back quite a bit and she has been able to scrapbook in the afternoon while Maggie is asleep.
We are so blessed in our lives. Thank you for being a part of it!

Reality
I have some spare time this morning (the kids were all playing nicely) and decided to sit down and play some tunes on the piano. I pulled out one of Marvin Goldstein's books and opened to "God Be With You 'Till We Meet Again" and didn't think anything about it. A few measures into the song, the words started running through my mind and the tears started to fall.
Reality hit. We are really leaving Dayton. This was a very hard reality check for me. Dayton is home for me. I know we have no choice to leave, but I don't want to. I wish I could just put my foot down and say we are staying. Stop looking for homes (our good home fell through), stop planning for movers, and not say goodbye to all our our friends (family) here. We are less than 2 months away from pulling out of here for the last time.
I have honestly never been so sad to leave a place as I am leaving here. And we are still 2 months away. What a way to spend a Friday! I can't seem to stop the tears and don't think I will be able to today. The words to that song won't stop running through my head. Maybe I will turn on some Tori Amos and try to drive it out of my head. Ya, that sounds like a great idea!!
On a happier note, Christina came to visit yesterday. It's been more than a year since we have seen her. Kennie, Justin & Nate were in Heaven. There are no words to describe how I felt. It was AWESOME!! She brought Sissy (her mother-in-law) and we sat in the Family Room and talked for hours while the kids played out back. Seriously! It was that great!! Rick, Christina, Bella, Robby, Carli & Tessa, we miss you so much!! Come visit in Alaska!!

Look mom, no hands!!
Tonight, Maggie took her first steps by herself! She was so excited. Take a look. {Just a note, she is 10 1/2 months. Seriously, where did this kid come from?} She took like 7 or 8 steps by herself!!

**Side note: Kennie, Justin and Nate took these pictures. Aren't they great!?!

This girl!!
How can you not fall in love with that face? She is adorable. This picture was taken at an Easter Egg hunt a few days ago. This adorable face is 10 months old today! She is getting cuter by the day. Here are 10 of my favorite things about her.
- She is starting to sleep better at night. Most nights she only gets up once. When you put her in bed, she usually goes right to sleep with no fussing. We have come such a long way from the rocking until she was dead asleep stage. Hooray!
- Her signature face (see the post with her 9 month pictures and it is picture #2). I love it when she pulls this. You can't help but laugh.
- Her face lights up when she sees her brothers. She adores them and loves to play with them. Her new skill is to kiss them. She can't get enough! They get sick of it real fast, but she doesn't want to stop.
- She has learned to say bye-bye while waving her arm goodbye. It is adorable.
- She loves her daddy! He comes home from work and she smiles, kicks her feet and starts to squeal. Her eyes light up. She definitely has him wrapped around her little finger!!
- The way she cuddles under my chin at just the right moment. She seems to know when I need a little bit of lovin'. She also gives me the greatest kisses.
- She is wearing 6-9 and 12 month size. She has the cutest wardrobe for the Spring/Summer. There will be a lot of pictures over the next few months. Adorable.
- She is cruzin everywhere. Any day now I expect her to take of walking! She can get herself where she wants to go (for the most part) and doesn't hurt herself too bad.
- She has discovered the stairs. This is good and bad. She is pretty good about going up when someone is behind her. However, she is really good at falling as well, which is not so fun. She has had a couple of bruises because of this.
- She will sit and play with toys (either downstairs or upstairs) for quite a long time now. Especially upstairs in the toy room. She loves her Baby Einstein table and the walker toy. I can't wait until I can understand what she is saying to me. She loves to talk to me!
Just a few other things, she is finally wearing size 3 diapers. She says ba-ba for her bottle and bye-bye (mentioned above.) We are working on Da-da. She just laughs and her eyes light up when I try to get her to say that. She sure lights up our lives!!

A Special Day!
I wasn't able to post this before, because we had company here, but I still want to post this. My Dad's birthday was April 1st. I hope he had an awesome day!! I wish I had some older pictures of him to put on here, because they are pretty funny, but I don't.
Kennie & Justin & Grandpa Burnside have a very special relationship. It was really hard for them to not be with him on his birthday. (Last year we were and they had a blast!!) So, this year I made Grandpa a cake and we ate it for dessert even though he wasn't here. Here's your cake Grandpa!
Happy Birthday!! You are one of the greatest men I have ever known!! We love you!
